Project A.C.T.I.O.N. Expanded Learning Programs
Project A.C.T.I.O.N. Expanded Learning Program is a seamless after school program funded by the California Department of Education After School Education and Safety Program (ASES) and Expanded Learning Opportunities Program (ELO-P). We serve Transitional Kinder through Eighth grade students at California Avenue Elementary, Mesa Verde Elementary, Cardozo Middle School and Riverbank Language Academy.
The vision of Project A.C.T.I.O.N. is to create a safe and nurturing learning environment beyond the school day that engages students, enhances student achievement, ignites curiosity and strengthens our community. It is our goal to make available a wide variety of academic and enrichment opportunities that can engage students in a positive atmosphere that will help build and develop a strong positive character. Our program components include academic support, a nutritious snack, enrichment activities and health and wellness. Priority enrollment is given to homeless youth, foster youth (adopted), students eligible for free or reduced-price meals and English learners.
If interested in enrolling your child in our program, we encourage you to submit your Interest form during Open Enrollment Week to be included in the Lottery drawing for the new school year. Open Enrollment Week generally occurs at the end of April. Our program does not rollover the enrollment into the new school year, all families must re-apply. Interest Forms accepted throughout the year.
The program operates in conjunction with the Riverbank Unified School District calendar, it is open Monday – Friday, and starts immediately upon the conclusion of the regular school day (varies per site) until 6:00 P.M. Project A.C.T.I.O.N. is coordinated, managed and facilitated through the C.A.S.A. del Rio, Family Resource Center located at 2400 Stanislaus Street, Riverbank, CA 95367. Project A.C.T.I.O.N. el programa de Aprendizaje Expandido es un programa extracurricular continúo financiado por el Programa de Seguridad y Educación Extracurricular (ASES) del Departamento de Educación de California y el Programa de Oportunidades de Aprendizaje Expandido (ELO-P). Brindamos servicios a estudiantes de kínder de transición a octavo grado en las escuelas primarias California Avenue y Mesa Verde, la secundaria Cardozo y la Academia de Idiomas de Riverbank.
La visión de Project A.C.T.I.O.N. es crear un entorno de aprendizaje seguro y enriquecedor más allá del día escolar que involucre a los estudiantes, mejore el rendimiento de los estudiantes, encienda la curiosidad y fortalezca a nuestra comunidad. Nuestro objectivo es poner a disposición una amplia variedad de oportunidades académicas y de enriquecimiento que puedan atraer a los estudiantes a una atmósfera positiva que ayudará a construir y desarrollar un carácter fuerte y positivo. Los componentes de nuestro programa incluyen apoyo académico, un bocadillo nutritivo, actividades de enriquecimiento y salud y bienestar. Se da prioridad de inscripción a jóvenes sin hogar, jóvenes de crianza (adoptados), estudiantes elegibles para comidas gratis o a precio reducido y estudiantes de inglés.
Si está interesado en inscribir a su hijo en nuestro programa, lo alentamos a que envíe su formulario de interés durante la semana de inscripción abierta para ser incluido en el sorteo de la lotería para el nuevo año escolar. La semana de inscripción abierta generalmente ocurre a fines de abril. Nuestro programa no transfiere la inscripción al nuevo año escolar, todas las familias deben volver a presentar una solicitud. Se aceptan formularios de interés durante todo el año.
El programa opera en conjunto con el calendario del Distrito Escolar Unificado de Riverbank, está abierto de lunes a viernes y comienza inmediatamente después de la conclusión del día escolar regular (varía según el sitio) hasta las 6:00 p.m. Project A.C.T.I.O.N. es coordinado, administrado y facilitado a través de C.A.S.A. del Rio, Centro de Recursos Familiares ubicado en 2400 Stanislaus Street, Riverbank, CA 95367.
